Biography

Private George Blain served in the United States Civil War.
Enlisted: 9 Aug 1862

George was born in 1845 to Isaac and Eliza Blain. By age 17 George was working as a farm laborer in Eaton Township, Lorain, Ohio. In 1862, George enlisted in Company H of the 103rd OVI. He mustered out with the company on 12 Jun 1865. After the war he married Mary Drinkall on 27 Jan 1866 in Lorain, Ohio. Shortly after, George and Mary moved to Michigan and started a family. He passed away in 1899.
