Walter J. Bindl, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 1991 at the Richland Hospital in Richland Center, Wisconsin. He was born on December 6, 1908, the son of Henry and Theresia (Dischler) Bindl. He was married to the former Gertrude Schmitz on June 20, 1939. He was a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Plain, and the Catholic Knights.
Survivors include his wife Gertrude, two sons, Jim and Peter, two daughters, Judy and Joanne, eleven grandchildren, a brother, Herbert, and a sister, Margaret.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Theresia, six brothers: William, Albert, his twin brother Vincent, Clarence, Arthur and Erwin, and two sisters, Clara and Teresa.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 23, 1991 at 12 Noon at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Plain. Father Jim Kuhn with officiate with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, August 22 from 5:30 PM until 9 PM at St. Luke's Church, where a scripture service will be held at 8:30 PM. Visitation will also be held on Friday at the church from 11 AM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Luke's Catholic Church Endowment Fund.
The Richardson-Stafford Funeral Home of Spring Green is serving the family.
