Biography
Della was born about 1881. Her parents were Sanford Bills, who was born in VT, and Kate Prill, born in WI.
She married 1st an unknown Lang, who died before 1924.
She married Ellsworth Clester on 2 Oct 1924 in Vancouver, WA.[1][2][3][4] She was his second wife, and reported herself as widowed and 43 years old on the record. No children were known from this marriage. Witnesses were Arthur Voorhees and Rosa Voorhees, of Vancouver WA, and officiant was the Rev. Elder A. R. Bell of Portland, OR. C. A. Clester (brother of Ellsworth) testified on the application for the marriage license that both parties were residents of Molalla, OR.
She most likely passed away before 1930.
Research Notes
Little known about parents apart from marriage record. First husband's identity not known. Presumably she passed away before 1930 but this is not certain. Place of death and date of death not known. However, Ellsworth married a 3rd time in 1930 and lived primarily in Clackamas, OR. Look for a couple named Lang in Oregon or Washington in 1920. Look for records of Sanford and Kate Bills, who presumably came west before 1900.
