Lessarah Ellen Bigham was born12 Jul 1872 in Doniphan County, Kansas. [1]She is the daughter of Robert Bigham and Amanda Miller.[2] She had 14 siblings, unfortunately many did not grow to adulthood.
Lessie married (1) William Henry Lee in 1892, in St. Joseph, Missouri. [3] He passed away in Avenue City, Missouri (just outside of St Joseph) 12 September 1897. The 1900 census finds Lessie and her 3 small boys, Robert, Ray & Orie Lee, living with her parents, in Jefferson Township, Missouri.[4] Lessie remarried on 12 March 1901 to Robert Miller in St. Joseph, Missouri. [5] Lessie, the 3 little boys, her new husband and her father, Robert Bigham, and his second wife , Virginia, and children left soon for Idaho where they resided[6] before removing to Eastern Oregon, and finally settling in Hood River. [7][8][9][10] Lessie passed away 1 October 1952 in Hood River, Oregon. She is buried in the dlewilde Cemetery, Hood River, Hood River County, Orego.[11]
