Biography
Anna was born before 1750. According to the marriage record for Anna and Matthias Bernhardt, she was the daughter of Wihelm Heinrich Bugel, but there were two other individuals on the same page, Maria Sybilla Biegel and Wihelm Heinrich Biegel, who were the daughter and son of Wihelm Heinrich Biegel. Anna's father's surname was likely an error. Anna married (Johan) Matthias Bernhart on 27 April 1765 at Eppler's Church, Berne Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. (Pennsylvania Archives, 6th Series, Volume VI, pages 209 and 212.) [1][2][3] They had at least six children together. They Lived in Robeson Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania in 1768. [2] Matthias died intestate on 1 April 1794 in Buffalo Township, Northumberland County. Anna Margaretha was recorded as "yet alive" in the will for Matthias. [2][4]
