To U.S. 11 Aug. 1732 ad Philadelphia, PA, on ship "Samuel" (Signed with mark, aged 22) with presumed brother John (Strassburger's Penn. German Pioneers). At Schifenthill, Philadelphia (?) Co. (Berks Co. after 1752) in 1733. On 1734 petition for naturalization in Bucks Co., PA as "Barnheill" (on "original list" & as "Felty Barnard" in Davis' History of Bucks Co.); naturalized 11 Apr. 1741 in Philadelphia Co. Land warrants in Bucks Co. 1745 (100 acres) & 1750 (50 acres); "Valantine Barontheisel" and "early settler" in Lynn Wep., Lehigh Co. (Bucks Co. to 1752 & Northhampton Co. 1752-1812), but does not seem to have retained the land as no surveys exist for him. "Felt Bensel" in 1752 tax list in Tulpenhocken Twp., Berks Co., PA.; "Valentine Bernhisle" in tax lists 1760 (Albany Twp.) & 1764 (Windsor Twp.) Berks Co.

• CHRISTENED 25 June 1699 Krauznach-- (church record per Andrea Fink report, 1998). First four children born Kleinniedesheim, Germany; baptism sponsor for Birckheimer son 1725 there (parish records per Andrea Fink report, 1996)
• TO AMERICA abt. 1728, probably to Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Possibly "Barnheill" on 1734 naturalization petition in Bucks co., Pennsylvania on original list & Felty Barnard" on copied list (Davis History of Bucks county.) but not granted.
• NATURALIZED: 11 April 1741 in Philadelphia county (Guiseppi's Naturalizations of Foreign Potestant ...; Berks of Old, Nov. 1985). AT Schifenthill, Philadelphia? county, at daughter's 1733 baptism. "Velim / Valentine / Feletin Berndhersel / Barnhisel / Berthizel" was purchaser at goods sale Apr. 1733 of Lawrence Bingman estate in Philadelphia county (Records of Orphans" Court of Philadelphia, 1716-1755). LAND *WARRENTS in Bucks county 1745 for 100 acres & 1750 for 50 acres retained by him. "Valentine Barontheisel" on list of early settlers in Lynn Twp., Lehigh county, Pennsylvania. (Bucks Co., to 1752; Northampton Co., 1752-1812) (Roberts' History of Lehigh Co., Pennsylvania) Doubtfully "Felty Bensel" in 1752 tax list in Tulpehocken Twp, Berks, Pennsylvania. "Barnhisle" in tax lists 1760 in Albany Twp., Berks, Pennsylvania; also in Windsor Twp, Berks county PA. Defendant in 1764 civil court suit vs. Samuel Boone in Berks county. (Berks of Old, May 1984)
