Obituary: Mrs. Carl Lubnow, 77, Hartland Resident, Rites held Tuesday --- "After an illness of 8 years Mrs. Carl (Hema) Lubnow, 77, Hartland township, died Saturday at St. John's Hospital in Red Wing. She had been confined to the institution since the 25th of August. Born September 26, 1876, at Columbus, Wis., she and her husband Carl, who she married May 28, 1901, farmed in the Hartland area for a number of years. Surviving are one son, Donald of East Ellsworth; four daughters, Mrs. Robert E. Schwarze of Davis, Ill.; Mrs. Edward Murphy, Mrs. Russel Ames of East Ellsworth, and Mrs. Richard Josephson of Hartland; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Manser of Ellsworth, Mrs. Lena Luedtke from Princeton, Wis., and Mrs. Elizabeth Bearson of Red Wing. One brother and a sister along with her husband, precede her in death. Pallbearers were Ronald Ames, Marvin Struve, Ed Falkofske, Marvin Huber, Paul Schwarze, and John Josephson."
