Biography
Silas Benson Jr is a part of US Black heritage.
Silas was born about 1928. He was the son of Silas Benson and Rosie Wilson.[1] In 1930 he was living with his parents and grandparents in Del Rio, Texas.[2]
Silas married Lorraine Thomas Howard in Guadalupe, Texas in 1950.[3]
Silas served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1951 to 1954.[4]
He passed away in 1960 in Ozona, Texas; the victim of a knifing.[5] He was buried in the Delta Memorial Park Cemetery in San Angelo, Texas.[6]
