Per the CT Society, Sons of the American Revolution: Lieutenant Aaron Benedict is buried in the Old Middlebury Cemetary, Middlebury, CT. b 17Jan1745 in Danbury, CT, the 5th son of Captain Daniel Benedict and Sarah Hickok. He served in the French Indian War and in the CT Militia out of Waterbury, CT during the American Revolution. He participated in the march to aid the Continental Army at North River, at Fishkill, and at the battle for Quebec. After the war, he migrated to Middlebury, CT and received a pension for his services. He represented Middlebury in the legislature from 1809-1810, and was a delegate from Middlebury to the constitutional convention in 1818. He was the father of Aaron Benedict, founder of the Waterbury Brass Co., the company instrumental in Waterbury's development as a manufacturing force in the 19th century. He married Esther Trowbridge on 13Dec1769, and died on 16Dec1841.

March 16, 1833. "The year after his marriage he removed to Waterbury, and settled in the east part of what is now the town of Middlebury. He was in the French war, probably, and was a Lieut. in the Revolution, served before Quebec, and was placed on the pension roll. (Hist. Waterbury, p. 349). He was a leading man in the town, and represented it in the legislature, May, 1809, May, 1810, and Oct., 1810. He was, also, a delegate to the constitutional convention, for Middlebury, Aug., 1818. Mr. B. was a remarkable and very superior type of the old-time, strong-minded, straightforward, square men." He d. Dec. 16, 1841. Ch.

Aaron Benedict[1] was born 17 Jan 1745.[2]

He married Ester Trowbridge 13 Dec 1769.[2]

Aaron and his wife Ester were admitted to the church 15 May 1803, and were church members in 1834.[3]

Aaron died Dec 1841 at age 97.[3][2]
