"Rebecca (Belt) Peddicord (1746-aft.1787) is the daughter of Higginson Belt (abt.1706-1786), whose sister was Jasper Peddicord (1731-abt.1800) 's mother. The will of Higgenson Belt was signed 15 July 1786 and proved 15 Nov 1786 in Montgomery County, MD In this will he names wife Sarah, sons John, Carlton, Higgenson, and deceased son Greenberry, and daughter Rebecca Peddicoart. (Montgomery Co wills Liber B, Folio 361) One note states that Higgenson Belt married Dorothy, widow of John Rogers by 1740."
