Biography

James was born in 1808. He was the son of George Bell and Isabella Wetherett. He passed away in 1894.

George Bell had three sons : George, who died in England ; and James and William, who came to Ontario in 1835, locating at Stony Creek, where they engaged in farming and lumbering. In 1851 they came to Plympton township, James settling on Lot 26, Concession 15, where he cleared a farm upon which he lived the remainder of his life.
