  1. ) Page 86, 87. Parents of Rhoda Beebe: Lewis Beebe married second Miriam Kellogg, daughter of Silas and Ruth (Root) Kellogg of Lansingburgh, NY, on 29 April 1779 (probably in Vermont). Miriam was born 24 May 1755 and she died 4 June 1794 at Lansingburgh, NY at the age of 40.

  1. ) Rathbone Genealogy; page 544: Lucy Allen Beebe, wife of Solomon Rathbone was the eldest daughter of Dr Lewis Beebe and his second wife Miriam Kellogg, both of Litchfield, Conn., or that vicinity; she was born March 7, 1782. When 12 years old her mother died and after that time she lived with her uncle, ____ Kellogg in Lansingburg, NY. She was named after her father's first wife, who was a sister of Ethan Allen, the hero of Ticonderoga; she was a woman of more than ordinary capacity and commanded influence in every situation. Her father, Dr. Lewis Beebe was a graduate of Yale College and an ordained minister of the Presbyterian church. He was also a physician and gave his attention to the practice of medicine, preaching only occasionally to fill vacancies. In 1776, he was a surgeon in the Continental army, being attached to the forces on and around Lake Champlain. The last fifteen years of his life he lived and practiced medicine in the City of New York, where he died March 19, 1816. He was married three times: his family record being as follows: Lewis Beebe, born March 21, 1749; died June 10, 1816: Lucy Allen, born April 24, 1749; died June 10, 1775. They were married Sept. 20, 1774: Miriam Kellogg, born May 24, 1755; died June 4, 1794: she was married to Lewis Beebe April 27, 1779. They had children as follows: Lucy Allen Beebe, born March 7, 1782, died Feb 19, 1860; Nancy Bebee, born July 9, 1784, died ____; Rhoda Beebe, born Jan 24, 1788, died Jan 26, 1832; Lewis Beebe Jr, born May 13, 1791, died Dec 20 1855. Phoebe Thompson, born Sept 15, 1759, died ____; she was married to Lewis Beebe Jan 2, 1795. One child was born of this marriage, viz; Amelia Beebe born May 14, 1796. Lucy Allen Beebe married Solomon Rathbone, Dec 6, 1806. Nancy Beebe married Joseph Hanchett; Rhoda Beebe married Jacob Benedict; Lewis Beebe Jr. married Anna Blackall Sept 19, 1816. He died Dec 20, 1855; she was born in 1797.
