Biography
Name: Lucy Becknell.
Born: abt 1819 Missouri.
Died: bef 1850? Texas.
Her name and approx. birth date appear in family notes, possibly taken from an early family Bible. Nothing else has been found and she does not appear in the 1850 census. She may have died young in Missouri and never come to Texas.
Note that some researchers say she married John Kirty Rogers in Fort Bend County, but this is NOT the case. John Rogers's 1st wife was Mary Jane Becknell, older sister of Lucy (and he never left Red River County).
