According to his gravestone, Charles L. Beck was born on 11 Feb 1833.>ref name="gs"/> The 1880 Census shows him as 47 years old, born in Maine.^[1]

Charles L. Beck married Hannah B. Atwood. Their only known child, Eugene I. Beck, was born in 1860^[2] and was 19 years old at the time of the 1880 Census.^[1]

The gravestone of Charles L. Beck at the Pleasant Hll Cemetery in Livermore Falls, Maine, is inscribed with the dates 11 Feb 1833 and 18 Jul 1891.^[3]
