Luther A. Beaver Jr., 68, of Bloomsburg passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at his home.

Born on Oct. 20, 1949, in Richfield, he was the son of the late Luther A. Sr. and Janet R. (Dietz) Beaver. He graduated from Middleburg High School.

He worked at PP&L, where he was a journeyman lineman and retired as a lineman leader/instructor trainer after 45 years.

Luther was a member of the Masonic F&AM Lodge 22, Sunbury; the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Sunbury Forest 65; Kilowatt Craftsmenn&#s Club, and IBEW 1600, where he was a union steward for many years.

Luther had a passion for hunting and the outdoors. He enjoyed walking his dog and tending to his pets. He liked to watch sports, no matter what it was, or what team was playing. He was a devoted family man, loving husband and father. He cherished the time he got to spend with his grandchildren.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 50 years, Dawn K. (Kauffman) Beaver; children: Todd Beaver and wife, Amy, Orangeville, and Kristen Pineda, Maryland; grandchildren: Ethan and Zachary Beaver, Isabella, Gabriel and Elijah Pineda; sisters: Sandra Cottrell and husband, Dr. David, Shamokin Dam, Susan Snyder and husband, Ed, Richfield; many nieces and nephews; as well as his dog, Jack, and rescue cat, Red.

At his request, there will be no public services.
