Nehemiah was born about 1731; baptized at Stratfield, Connecticut, 21 November, 1731. He was the son of John Beardsley and Martha Odell. He passed away in 1811. [1][2]

He served in the Revolutionary War. [3]

He was captain of the Ninth Company of militia in the Northern Department, 1775. He was made lieutenant colonel 1777, and promoted to colonel in 1778. [DAR Records]
