I have been tree-ing for some 30 years now, when Ancestry was in nappies & Windows did not exist. All there was back then was the IGI & RootsChat. The censuses had to be bought on CD, but were not properly indexed. My family is 85% East London & West Ham, mostly in the 'poor but honest' category (boring! you get so much more info about a convict than for Joe Average). Proud of the fact that I have found my husband's birth family for him (he was adopted in 1950) & we met his brothers & sisters last year. I refuse to use any Facebook etc media, so this is really confusing to me.

Doreen was born in 1951 in Hackney Hospital. She married in 1970 & divorced in 1973. She did not re-marry until 2016.
