Biography
Mary Bayley (married name Hitchen) was born on 5 August 1861 in Congleton, Cheshire, England, daughter of Sarah (Yarwood) Bayley and William Bayley.[1]
She was baptised on 2 September 1861 in Congleton, Cheshire, England.[2]
Mary came to Australia as an infant with her mother and siblings on the Lightning in 1862.[3]
She married Albert Edward Hitchen in 1880 in Victoria, Australia.[4] Their son was:[citation needed]
- Frank Bayley Hitchen (1878–1944)
Polly died on 19 October 1925 in South Yarra, Victoria, aged 64 years.[5]
