Bawell, 58, retired, Evansville Merchant died at 8 a.m. Monday (30 Sep 1957) at his home 3325 Oak Hill Rd. He Owned Bawell Sales Store, a furniture store at Main and Indiana Sts. for 15 years. He retired 2 1/2 years ago because of ill health. He was a member of Reed Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Evansville Athletic Club and United Commercial Travelers. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; one daughter, Mrs. Mary J. Coffman, of Evansville; Three brothers, Wesley, Herman, and Charles, all of Evansville; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Steinschulz, of Hammond, and one grandchild. The body is at the Alexander Funeral Home.
