Biography

Nous ignorons la filiation et le lieu d'origine de cette sage-femme qui, vers 1683 épouse Michel Dubuc dans la région de Longueuil. De leur union naît un seul enfant, Michel, qui épouse Marie-Charlotte Bougret, à Boucherville, le dimanche 10 août 1710.

Elle décède à Longueuil le 23 avril 1716 et est inhumée le lendemain [1] She was age 71. [2]

PRDH gives her parents as Nicolas Beaudoin and Hélène Levasseur. She was born in 1642 in Saint-Maclou, v. et arch. Rouen, Normandie. Her first marriage was to Pierre Hanard 1-20-1663 in France. Second marriage to Michel Dubus as on this profile. An additional note says "LES NOMS DE SES PARENTS PROVIENNENT DE SON CONTRAT DE MARIAGE À PIERRE HANART. VOIR: SUZANNE GALAISE : «MÉMOIRES DE LA SOCIÉTÉ GÉNÉALOGIQUE CANADIENNE-FRANÇAISE» 61-3, #263, PRINTEMPS 2010" translated to THE NAMES OF HIS PARENTS COME FROM HIS MARRIAGE CONTRACT TO PIERRE HANART. hi Cindy, you have a PRDH link on the purported parents of this woman, yet all the authors I find name no parents for her, in fact state her origin is unknown. Where does the data come from? Is she born in France or here?

Hi, Danielle, there was no PRDH record on the profile, so I added it, with the verbiage. They say her parents names came from her marriage contract with Pierre Hanart, and they give a source for that. I also added her burial record. He apparently never came to Quebec. I also don't see a marriage record for her with Michel Dubuc as I was hoping to find the linkage with Pierre on that, but both marriages were apparently in France.

he never came here that I can see, she arrives with her second husband. The parental names come from the marriage with Michel Dubuc, the bann publication names her parents. Her marriage with Michel gives her 25 years of age.
