On 10 Feb 1816, Linda Bates of Fayette, Maine, and Francis Haines of Livermore, Maine, (both towns were then in Massachusetts) published at Livermore their intention to marry.[2] Their first child was born at Livermore on 1 May 1817.[3]
Death
No record has been found of the death of Linda (Bates) Haines. The 1874 history of Livermore, Maine, says that she died in 1861,[4] and a gravestone at the Haines Corner Cemetery in Livermore Falls, Maine, says that she died on 23 Sep 1861 at the age of 65.[5]
