Cleo Bateman Jr., 85, of Vincennes, passed away at 10:38 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born on Oct. 27, 1934 in Oaktown to Cleo and Leota Bateman. He worked for Southern Bell Telephone as a technician and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and was a member of the Moose. He was an Indiana University basketball fan.
Surviving are his daughter, Michele Traversone and her husband, Hernan, of Humble, Texas; his two grandchildren, Kayla and Nicholas Traversone; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn (Like) Bateman, who passed away on Nov. 6, 2019; and two sisters, Helen Jobe and Lillian South.
There will be no public services. Goodwin Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Cleo Bateman.
