Biography
Carl Barus was born October 12, 1823, in Opolskie, Poland, in what was then part of the Kingdom of Prussia.[1][2] An alternate birth date given in the 1880 census is about 1832 in Poland.[3]
Carl Barus died June 7, 1908, in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, USA. He was buried in Section 1, Lot 672 of Walnut Hills Cemetery in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, USA.[4]
