Biography

Sarah BARROW was born on 2 January 1858^[1] and christened on 7 March 1858 in Heathfield, Sussex, England^[2]. Her parents were Benjamin BARROW and Ruth GASTON.

The ship, Colonial Empire set sail from London, England on 27 June 1870 via Plymouth with members of the BARROW and ERREY family among the passengers and arrived in Hobson's Bay, Colony of Victoria on 28 September 1870^[3][4]. The family consisted of sisters Sarah Ann (15) and Sarah (12) BARROW, their mother, Ruth ERREY (45), step-father, Benjamin (52, Farm labourer), his family, Hannah (20, Servant), Benjamin (19, Farm labourer), Frederick (17, Farm labourer), Emily (16, Servant), Alice (14, Servant), Theodocius (11) and half sister, Ruth (2).
