Conlin was born in 1891. He was the son of Ed Barnes and Eliza Amos. He passed away in 1963. He is interred in Lott-Burgy Cemetery in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.[1]
Records of Conlin's life include:
1900 US Census. He was enumerated in his parents' home in El Dorado and Cargile Towns, Union, Arkansas.[2]
1925 Iowa State Census. Enumerated in Des Moines, Polk, Iowa.[3]
1930 US Census. Enumerated in Des Moines, Polk, Iowa, with wife, Hazel.[4]
1942. Conlin registered for the military draft for WWII. On that form he confirmed his birth date of March 1891 and birthplace as El Dorado, Arkansas. He was employed by the Rock Island railroad.[5]
Research Notes
There is a discrepancy between his findagrave memorial page and gravestone,[6] and other records. His gravestone has the name "Colin" rather than "Conlin" which appears in other records. And his gravestone has the birth year of 1890 rather than 1891. However, according to family members this is Conlin's burial place.
The photo of the headstone provided by the Arkansas Gravestone Photo Project shows his name as Conlin with a DOB of 1890.[7]
