Theophilus Cotton's regt., which marched on the alarm of 19 April 1775; service 12 days; also, muster roll dated August 1, 1775; enlisted May 2, 1775; service 3 mos. 6 days; also company return dated October 7, 1775; also Sergeant, Capt Nathaniel Hammond's co., Col. Ebenezer Sprout's reft.; service, 15 days (probably in December 1776); marched from Rehoboth to Rhode Island on an alarm.[1]
He married Lydia Churchill on 6 June 1781 in Plympton.[2]
Probate
Amity Barlow of Rochester, mariner, died intestate and on on 2 June 1783, his widow Lydia was granted the administration of his estate.[3]
His inventory was taken on 15 July 1783 in Rochester.[4]
In 1786, Enoch Hammond of Rochester was appointed guardian of his minor daughter, Susannah who was under the age of 14 years.[5]
In 1790, an account of his estate by his widow, now Lydia Hammond was recorded which included debts paid, schooling the children, and administration fees.[6]
In 1796, Lemuel Lebaron of Rochester was appointed guardian of his daughter, Susanna, who was above the age of 14 years.[7]
