Emmet Barber was born 6 Sep 1843 in Franklin, Indiana. He enlisted in Co. H, 52nd Regiment, Indiana Infantry at New Trenton, Indiana. on 1 Feb 1861. According to the Adjutant General's Report, Emmet Barber died 7 Apr 1862 at Ft. Heiman, Kentucky. [1]
He was first interred at Ft. Heiman and later reinterred at Old Brick Cemetery, Andersonville, Franklin, Indiana. [2]
