George's baptism transcribes parents as William and PRISSCILLA, however if you look at the image page, the page is creased and Priscilla's name is cut off, the name above hers is also Priscilla, so I believe the transcriber just went with the same name as the visible portion of George's mother's name is billa, the b mistaken for an s and it's easy to misread. If you look close, the b and the s above it are written differently.
There are possibly 2 Georges that George Balmant husband of Mary, could be a duplicate of - 1st George Balmant born 1663 to George & Priscilla; also 2nd George Balment born 1664 to William & Sibilla. Mary is a wife to one, or possible 2nd wife to one. I have no burial records for a Mary Balmont(or various spellings thereof) of the correct time frame (ie after 1704, Susan's birth). George #2's wife Agnes appears to have died in 1693, after the birth of her son William.
The idea that Mary is George #2's 2nd wife is due the the fact their first child is named Thomasin, like George #2's sister. Also no marriage record for George & Mary.
I wonder if I even have Agnes Gould married to the correct George? Though there is a marriage record for a George Balmant in Chittlehampton to a woman named Joan Venner in 1687, and the idea that George #1 might be that one as Priscilla, his mother appears to be buried in Chittlehampton. There's also a George Balmant who died in 1747 in Chittlehampton.
