I'm also a direct descendant of Daniel and Marie Ferree via Philip, Sr and Leah Corlea duBois. I have a copy of the 'book' Title: The Ferree Family -- The First Five Generations in America Published: 2007 by Charles Heisterkamp, III, M.D on CD, as well as a rather large 3-ring binder titled "The Story Of The Ferree Family" by Emory Schuyler Ferree (I have his address and phone/fax number in California), and "The Ferree Family Gunsmiths" by Charles Heisterkamp, III, M.D. I purchased all three during the 2007 Ferree Reunion in Lancaster, PA, which I attended that year. I would also be thrilled to share Emory's information via personal contact if you're interested, and would be happy to figure out a way to get copies of the CD and Gunsmith booklet to you if you like. As I've downloaded the CD onto my computer, we might be able to do that via email, though probably in small batches as it's rather a large amount of information. Let me know!
Yes Lucinda I am interested. Thanks for contacting me. I used to be in correspondence with Charles over ten years ago when I first started research. He was one of my first friends on fb! I will check my old emails to see if he sent me anything. In the meantime, please send me your email address by private message. We are 7th cousins according to wikitree. I have my dna at ancestry so I'll check and see if we are a match there. Have a blessed day and I will be talking to you soon then. MK
Thanks for having a big heart and adopting that Orphaned Profile. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention sometimes needed by adopted profiles.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up gedcom biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, coordinating with others is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Based on your tags the Acadians Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to review other possibilities. Read the goals and tasks of the projects and join those which are a good fit.
