    Orange Blossoms. BALLARD— HILLIERY.
The Anglican Church, Dorrigo, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Tuesday last when Miss Annie, third eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hilliery, of Thora, was wedded to Mr. Alvin Ballard, eldest son of Mrs. Ballard and the late Mr. Ballard, of North Dorrigo. The Church was decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. G. Nesbit. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a frock of ivory crepe-de-chene trimmed with lattice work and seed pearls finished with a corinet of orange blossoms. Her embroidered veil of silk Brussells net was arranged mob cap style and was worn with a spray of orange blossoms. She carried a handsome shower bouquet of cream roses, marguerites and as paragus fern finished with tulle streamers and tiny silver horse shoes and wore a diamond and pearl brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid, Miss Iris Ballard (sister of the bridegroom), looked very dainty frocked in canary crepe-de-chene with black satin strappings and black bead trimmings. She also wore a black lace and georgette hat finished with canary flannel daises and black suede tango shoes and carried a bouquet of cream and pink roses mixed with autumn leaves. The bouquets were the work of Mrs. G. H. Gray. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a pretty dress ring. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. Ike Hillery (brother of the bride). As the bride entered the church Miss Vera Johnston played the Wedding March and while the register was being signed, Miss Emmie Johnston sang the song, "Because". After the ceremony a reception was held at the Carlton Cafe where about fifty guests were received by Mrs. Hilliery and Mrs. Ballard. The table was nicely decorated and in the centre was a two-decker wedding cake which was indeed a work of art and was made by Mr. Morgan. After the breakfast the young couple left for Kempsey amid showers of confetti and the friends' good wishes. The bride travelled in a navy blue coat frock with a smart little navy hat to match worn with navy suede shoes. The presents were numerous and costly and in cluded several cheques.
