Elizabeth Margaret McMillan Ballantyne was born on 8 July 1886 in New Zealand, daughter of John Congreive Ballantyne (1855–1925) and Jane Stalker (1855–1902).^[1]

Elizabeth had a sister, Jane Stewart Ballantyne (28 March 1888 – 14 November 1952).

Elizabeth married Alexander Glass (FamilySearch Profile) on 4 January 1915 in New Zealand.^[2] Their children were:

1. Alexandrina Joan Glass (15 December 1915 – 16 May 2000)
2. Ian Congrieve Ballantyne Glass (21 March 1919 – 1997)
3. Leslie Ballantyne Glass (31 December 1921 – 15 February 2007)
4. Betty Jean Glass (1923-1993)
5. Patricia Vivienne Glass (1925-2005)

Elizabeth died on 21 December 1980 in New Zealand, aged 94.^[3]
