Biography

Maria was born in 1910. She was the daughter of Cornelius Balkenende and Pieternella Heijnsdijk. She passed away in 1985.

Aged almost 4 months, she arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA on 23 May 1910 with the ship "SS Merion", from Liverpool, UK. She was accompanied by her parents and 6 siblings.^[1]
