Biography
William was baptised on 26 February 1723 in Chirnside, Berwickshire, Scotland. He was the son of William Bald and Elizabeth Bowmaker[1].
Research Notes
A child was added to this profile namely Helen Bauld (~1751 - 1835) however this connection has been removed.
The child was born in Traquair, Peeblesshire according to the family genealogy page brydondale.com her father William Bald was also born in Traquair, Peeblesshire around 1723. While this William Bald was born in 1723 he was born in Chirnside, Berwickshire some 45 miles away while it is not impossible for this William to have travelled to Traquair and started a family, thus far I have seen no evidence to support this.
Until such time as evidences to prove this connection can be provided this connection has been removed.
