Joseph was born 4/29/1900 in Missouri. His father was John William Baker (IA) and his mother was Anna Missouri Deatherage (MO). In 1900 Joseph was living with his parents and siblings in Washington Township (part south & southwest outside city limits), Buchanan, Missouri where his father was a farm laborer. In 1910 Joseph was living with his family in Philipsburg, Granite, Montana. By 1920 the family was living in Whatcom, Washington. Joseph died 8/10/1922 and is buried in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot EHC 102).
