Samuel Baker was born on November 7, 1874 in Patterson, Wayne County, Missouri to Samuel Baker and Amanda McGhee.[1][2]

On June 1, 1904, Samuel married Nellie Tuckley in Cole County, Missouri.[3]

According to the 1920 census, Sam lived with Nellie and their daughter Mary in Jefferson City, Missouri.[4]

Sam served as the Governor of Missouri from 1925 to 1929.[5]

Sam died on September 16, 1933 in Jefferson City, Missouri.[6][1]

He is buried in the Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City, Missouri.[7]
