Biography

Matthew Talbot Baines was born on April 16, 1893 in Brodsworth, Yorkshire.[1]

He was christened on 16th May that year in Brodsworth.[2]

By 1901 the family have moved to the Manor House, Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, England.[3]

During World War I he served as an officer in the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry, before becoming a pilot, first in the Royal Flying Corps and later, after it's formation, in the Royal Air Force.[4][5]

He married Flora Allatini in June 1917, in London[6]

They had at least one child.

He died 11 Apr 1937 in Hove[7]
