Miss Sarah Loring Bailey died in Taunton on Sept. 8, 1896, and was buried in North Andover. She was the daughter of Otis Bailey and Lucinda Alden Loring, and was born at Andover, Mass., in the North Parish (now North Andover), April 22, 1834. She was educated in private schools and at Franklin Academy in Andover. Her life work was that of a teacher. She had more than ordinary mental powers, and always worked with conscientious fidelity and zeal, and with much success, until finally her health failed. She was a writer of ability, and was the author of Historical Sketches of Andover, Mass. Boston. 1880. [NEHGR Volume 051]
