John was born in 1906. He was the son of John Baggott and his wife Clara (nee Bullock). John Henry Baggott married Alma Heron in 1932.
John Henry Baggott was an Australian Rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL) for the Richmond Football Club and later the Essendon Football Club between 1927 and 1937. Jack was Captain-Coach of Essendon in 1936 and 1937, before retiring from playing to concentrate on just coaching the club, until the end of the 1939 season. Then he took on the Coaching role with the South Melbourne Football Club for just the 1940 season. He had also played in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) with the Northcote Football Club for at least one season, before joining Richmond, in the mid 1920s.Jack Baggott passed away in 1995 and is believed to have ben laid to rest at the Fawkner Memorial Park, Fawkner, Victoria, Australia.
