Albert Wilfred Bade was born on 25th July 1908 in Rosewood, Queensland, Australia. He was the third and youngest son of William Bade and Annie Berlin.
Albert married Mary Freeman on 28th October 1933 in Queensland. [1]
On 18th March 1942, at the height of Australia's danger of Japanese invasion, Albert enlisted in the Australian Army's Volunteer Defence Corps on a part-time basis, being allocated to the 9th Battalion. He was discharged on 21st October 1945, following cessation of hostilities; [2] qualifying for and receiving the Australia Service Medal 1939-1945.
About 1951, the family settled in Toowoomba, to the west of Rosewood in the Great Dividing Range.
He passed away, aged 78 years, on 28th November 1986 in Queensland. [3]
