Frances is the daughter and sole heiress of Sir Thomas Aylesbury, BT by his second wife Anne Denman. She was the mother-in-law of James Stuart II/VII of England through the marriage of her daughter Anne.
Marriage
On 10 July 1634 she became the second wife of Edward Hyde, created Baron Hyde of Hindon, Wilts (in 1660), Viscount Cornberry (1661) and Earl of Clarendon (1661).[1] He was Lord Chancellor of England 1658–1667.
Frances and Edward had six children:
Hon. Henry, later 2nd Earl of Clarendon (1638–1709)
Hon. Laurence, later 1st Earl of Rochester (1641–1711)
Edward (died young)
James (died young)
Anne (1637–1671)
m. James, Duke of York, later James I/VII of England
Frances,
m. Thomas Keightley, Irish revenue commissioner and privy councillor.
