On 25 Dec 1918, Brooks married Leone May Miller ( b. 23 Jul 1899, Anderson, Indiana d/o James M. Miller and Verona _____)^[4][5]

On 26 Jan 1958, Brooks married Louise S. Talley in Los Angeles, California.^[6]

Brooks passed away on 24 Feb 1964 in Los Angeles County, California,^[7] and was buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Inglewood, Los Angeles County.^[8]
