Biography

George Austin Jr. is a part of US Black heritage.

Birth and Family

George was born about 1914. He was the son of George Austin and Mary Dotson.^{[1] [2]}

George's older sister was Helen Elsie Austin. There were no other children in their family.

In 1940, George is 26 and living in the family home with his mother who is now 61 and widowed and his sister Elsie who is 29 and working as a legal aid advisor in the department where deed are recorded. ^[3]

Marriage and Family

In 1946 George married Kathleen Tate.^[4]

In 1950 George and his wife Kathleen and their two children, George H. and Beverly are living with his mother Mary Louise Austin. Mary Louise is 72 and continues to work as a public school teacher, now for grades 7-8-9. George is working as a substitute teacher.^[5]

Death and Burial

George passed away 24 April 2002. He is buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas, USA^[6][7]
