Charles H. Atwood of Livermore, Maine, 18 years old, born in Livermore, enlisted in the Union Army on 27 Feb 1864.[1] He served in Company D of the 32nd Maine Volunteer Infantry Regiment.[3] He died at Davids Island, New York, on 5 Aug 1864.[4] His FindAGrave memorial says that he died of consumption, and it includes a photo of his gravestone at the Cypress Hills National Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York.[5]
