Mary (Atkins) Hymas was born in England.

Early Life

Mary Ann Atkins was born 20 Dec 1815, in Hockley, Essex, England to William Atkins and Lucy Hart. She was Christened on 11 Feb 1816.[1]

Mary was wed to William H Hymas on 6 Jan 1834 in England. The couple sailed from Liverpool aboard the "Under Writer" On 23 Aug 1861. They arrived in New York 21 May 1861. They stayed 1 year in New York and then traveled to Florence NE by train. (Note: This notation conflicts with itself, having them leave England 3 months after they arrive in New York. This is possibly a transcript error, and should have a departure year of 1860)
