Warren W. Atherton was born 4 January 1845, Belfast, Allegany County, New York, he was killed in action on 31 May 1864 in the Battle of Cold Harbor. He was the son of William Atherton (1823-1856) and Mary Ann Tremain (1820-1876).

Military Service

Warren enlisted on 11 August 1862, he served on the Union side, with the 1st Regiment, New York Dragoons. He was killed in action during the Battle of Cold Harbor.
