Powell Aten died young.

Powell Aten was born on September 6, 1732 in Raritan, Somerset, Province of New Jersey, son of Thomas Aten (1710–1777) and Hilletje Van Arsdalen (~1720–1784).

His siblings were:

1. Helena Auten (1735–1823)
2. Pouel Auten (1738–~1794)
3. Dirck Auter (1742–1784)

Powell died before 1738 in Raritan, aged 5.

Research Notes

Pouwel Aten was born 6 Sep 1732, as recorded in the records of the First Dutch Reformed Church, Raritan (Somerville), Somerset, New Jersey, and copied by Alice H Kennedy. His parents were Thomas and Hilletye Aten. According to Alice Kennedy Huffman's research, he died young. The Atens subsequently had another child they named Pouel, born in 1738.^[1]
