Biography

Alfred was born in Tipton, Staffordshire in 1865 to William Aston and Sarah (Steventon) Aston he worked as a telegraph messenger in his youth but later became a riveter working for Horseley Bridge and Engineering Co. of Dudley Port, Tipton. In 1891 he married Alice Maud Wallett, they had one daughter Sarah May in 1891. Alfred died in 1951.
