Biography

The House of Árpád crest.
Béla III (Arpadhazi) Árpádházi is a member of the House of Árpád.

King Béla III was married four times but only had children with his second wife Agnes " Anna " de Chatillon-sur-Loing[1]

In 1162, he was first betrothed to Maria of Byzantium whom he divorced ( contract was broken) in 1169 as it was never consummated and there were no issues.[2].She was dau.of Emperor Manuel I Komnenos of Byzantium. Bela moved to Byzantium to be an heir to Manuel, but after Manuel had a son in 1169 the relationship, presumably never consummated, was dissolved. He also married 3rdly around 1185, Theodora Komnena . His fourth marriage was in 1186 to Marguerite of France who was the widow of King Henry, the young, of England and the daughter of King Louis VII of France.

King Béla III & his second wife Agnes Chatillon, had six children [3].Four grew to adulthood; two sons died young.

The Wikipedia information is slightly different: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A9la_III_of_Hungary#Family

Probably should be validated and updated by a 1500 certified person?

The DNA of Béla III has recently been tested: https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s12520-018-0609-7 I wonder if there is a way to include this data in the profile.
