In the 1910 census Hugh (age 22) was the single son of A F Armstrong in Civil District 2, Knox, Tennessee, United States.[2]

Hugh (age 25) married Velma Lee Burkhart (age 25) on 3 April 1912 in Knox, Tennessee, United States.[3]

Hu was in a military record in 1917-1918 in Knox, Tennessee, United States.[4]

In the 1920 census Hugh (age 32) was the married head of household in Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee, United States.[5]

In the 1930 census Hugh (age 43) was the married head of household in District 07, Knox, Tennessee, United States.[6]

HuE's son HuEd Armstrong died on 30 May 1935 in Knoxville, Knox, Tennessee, United States.[7][8]

Hugh was mentioned in the obituary of his father A T Armstrong on 26 January 1937 in Knoxville, Tennessee.[9]

In the 1940 census Hugh (age 51) was the married head of household in Asheville, Buncombe, North Carolina, United States.[10]
