Biography

Cross of St George
Cassandra (Argentine) Pyrot was born in England.

Cassandra was the daughter of Gyles (Giles) de Argentine and Margery Aguillon. Cassandra married before 1274, Sir Ralph Pyrot (Pirot, Perot), he was born about 1225, and died before 26 May 1305. He was the son of Ralph Pyrot and Joan.[1] [2][3][4][5]

18 June 1274: To the sheriff of Kent: "Order not to lay his hands on or to intermeddle with the lands or chattels of Ralph Pyrot who is imprisoned at London for certain trespasses wherewith he is charged, and to permit GILES de ARGENTEIN to have free administration of the lands and chattels for the use of Ralph and his wife and household, as it is not just that Ralph's lands or chattels should be alienated or dispersed or damaged by the king or his ministers before he be convicted in the king's court concerning such trespasses."[6]

20 May 1276: "To Giles de Audenard, sub-constable of the Tower of London. Order to deliver Ralph Perot-----of certain trespasses against the king's peace."--------There were twelve men who have "mainperned to have him before the king at his will under pain of forfeiture of all their goods." Among these men were: Giles de Argenteym of co. Hertford; Reginald de Argenteym of co. Essex; Richard de Angenteym of co. Essex; Peter Pycot of co. Essex; and Hugh de Brok of co. Berks.[6]

1279: Sir Ralph Pyrot and the lady Cassandra his wife were in receipt of a rent from tenements in Cambridge by assignment of Sir Giles de Argentine.[7][8]
